Job Title: Finance Officer

Reports to: West Africa Finance Manager

Location: Lomé, Togo

Employment Type: Full Time

🕗 Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Scope

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing funds and carrying out accounting and bookkeeping duties within the Francophone West Africa Office. The position reports directly to the West Africa Finance Manager.

General Description of Role & Expectations

Disbursement & Settlement (Field Visits)

  • Facilitate the disbursement of funds to FRs / ZL / ZC

  • Facilitate additional field disbursements as required

  • Follow up and collect FRs Visit Reports from the Field Rep Department and prepare accountability for disbursed visit fees

  • Follow up and collect Field Leaders Visit Reports from Admins and prepare accountability for disbursed visit fees

  • Manage Cash Floats for the FWA Office using a Cash Management Tool

Reporting

  • Prepare reports for all FRs / ZL / ZC / MT visit-related expenses, record entries in QuickBooks, and attach supporting documentation

  • Prepare monthly expense reports for FWA Field and Office Staff Support and process corresponding QuickBooks entries

  • Prepare expense reports for project activities as required and record them in QuickBooks

Finance & Accountability

  • Maintain proper historical financial records

  • Ensure strong financial accountability

  • Ensure proper allocation and careful use of funds

  • Demonstrate high standards of integrity and discretion

  • Review field financial reports regularly

  • Support and serve field teams with patience, grace, and understanding

  • Encourage continuous improvement in reporting standards without adopting a controlling or punitive approach
